We've spent the last 10 days with Steven's sister Lindy in Kill Devil Hills, Outer Banks, North Carolina (yes its confusing we know). Lindy lives a few hop, skips and jumps from the 'ocean' as them folks here like ta call it, and we've grown quite attached to the beautiful long straight beach here. Here is a summary of what we've been up to the last little while:
1) Surfing USA! Lindy's learning, we've had quite a blast pretending (along with life guarding as you can see from the pics).
2) Sweating
3) Eating, normally while lounging on the very loungeable couch (but no reason to panic, Lindy's quite the drill sergeant and has had us jogging our 'food babies' away)
4) Sweating
5) Having fun posing for self-portraits, in a variety of settings
6) Sweating (the best purchase we made was a rotating fan that follows us around the house, man's best friend)
7) Watching TV. Mostly 'The Dog Whisperer' on Discovery Channel, which is how we've got the fan so well trained.
It's been loads of fun seeing Lindy and having someone to talk to, other than each other! Our 'Summer Vacation' has sadly come to an end, and now it almost feels like we're 'back to work'. We're flying back to Chicago tomorrow (for the 3rd time!), before setting off to Ecuador to meet the beeeeeeg South America.
